On October 12, a scientific delegation from Australia, led by Dr. Kurt Lambeck, the president of Australian Academy of Sciences, and Dr. Peter Laver, vice president of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering, visited South China Botanical Garden (SCBG), the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Deputy directors of SCBG REN Hai and FU shenglei and scientists of SCBG met the delegation. Dr. Fu briefed about the history, development, research and representative achievements of SCBG to the guests. The two parties conducted in-depth discussions on enhancing cooperation in science& technology area. Also the delegation visited some special gardens especially the Australian garden and the conservatory greenhouses in SCBG.
